The Supreme Court (SC) has postponed the final hearing on the case relating to appointment of Inspector General of Police and rescheduled it for coming March 19.
A joint bench comprising justices Ishwar Prasad Khatiwada and Tej Bahadur KC, today, issued a verdict that the final hearing on the case would be conducted by a SC full bench on coming Sunday bearing in mind its sensitiveness, SC Spokesperson Mahendra Upadhyay said.
Earlier, in response to a writ petition filed against the decision of the Council of Minister to promote Jay Bahadur Chand to the post of Nepal Police chief, the SC had issued an interim order in the name of the government asking it not to implement the decision. RSS
