Seto Machchhindranath chariot procession kicks off

The chariot procession of Seto Machchhindranath — the god of rain and harvest — has kicked off from Tindhara Pathshala in the capital on Tuesday.
The procession that began from Tindhara was taken to Asan through Ratnapark and Bhotahiti. The chariot would be taken to Hanumandhoka tomorrow, shared Chariot Procession Management Committee member Binod Tuladhar.
It would be taken to Lagankhel on Thursday. The procession was attended by Hindu and Buddhist religious people along with locals ranging different age groups.
Political activist Tirtharam Dangol stressed the need to preserve the festival of cultural importance as it is crucial event of the Kathmandu Valley. RSS
